YouTube Description
as posted by the channelAs terrible as Biden has been on Gaza, Trump is already proving he will be worse.
On January 19th, 2025, a tenuous ceasefire deal was struck between Hamas and Israel to bring an end to the genocide of Gaza that has raged without mitigation since October 7th. Many who have been helplessly watching these war crimes unfold for the past 15 months are breathing a sigh of relief for the people of Gaza and understandably so. But it’s difficult to hold out very much hope for a lasting end to the violence when you have wanted war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu openly stating his willingness to restart the genocide whenever he sees fit. Not to mention Netanyahu and the IDF’s continued operations in The West Bank that have gone on without interruption since the deal was struck.
To make matters worse, you have President Donald Trump who is more than happy to let Netanyahu do as he pleases, so long as it helps him politically. For anyone who was laboring under the delusion that a Trump administration would be a step in the direction of ending the genocide in Gaza, you are sorely mistaken. We are just replacing one disgustingly cruel administration with another, albeit with a slightly different flavor.
While Butcher Biden and his Secretary Of State Anthony Blinken are true believers of the Zionist project, Trump only believes in his own self interest. And he will do anything, including selling out the lives of Palestinians, if he has something to gain from it.
When asked by reporters in the Oval Office if the President believed the ceasefire deal would last, he replied, “I’m not confident. It’s not our war, it’s their war.” He later went on to say, “You know, Gaza is interesting. It’s a phenomenal location. On the sea, the best weather… Some beautiful things could be done with it.”
It seems like Trump is fine with the destruction of Gaza, so long as he can build one of his tacky hotels there after Israel finishes its ethnic cleansing.
John Iadarola of The Damage Report joined Francesca for this conversation about the future of Gaza, the ceasefire deal and the lives of the Palestinians in the region as Trump comes back into power.
