Well, if President Trump happened to pardon 23 anti-choice activists convicted of threatening women’s healthcare clinics and oh yeah, STEALING FETUSES and keeping them in their freezer. That would be worse. And so naturally it happened. Trump pardoned some of the craziest anti-choicers around, many of whom had been convicted under the The Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act of 1994 which bans threats of force, obstruction and property damage intended to interfere with reproductive health care services. But as has been made abundantly clear this first week of the 2nd Trump presidency, laws against violence do not apply to his voter base.
Remember, the anti-choice movement overlaps with the Christian nationalist movement a lot. For example, Patriot Front, a white supremacist hate group, decided to show up to the rally in force. The white face-mask clad Neo-Nazis added to a growing coalition of hate, though this time they didn’t come in their U-Hauls but took public transportation. How woke!
