Biden certainly was a disaster and ideologically a committed Zionist. He had no issue sending constant weapons deliveries to Netanyahu throughout 15 months of a lopsided war. The most pushback Biden ever gave was the occasional media leak that he was privately very mad, he kept repeating Netanyahu’s talking points and failing to withhold weapons sales. Eventually, after months of war crimes he decided to not send Israel any more 2,000 pound bombs. (Only problem, the US had already given Israel so many 2,000 pound bombs that they won’t need anymore for years. Oops!)
However, Trump certainly isn’t showing any signs of being better. On the one hand, sources say The Don’s pseudo mob boss approach to negotiating was a factor in the current, albeit tenuous, ceasefire. He also made it clear that he will let Netanyahu resume operations in Gaza if he wants to, not to mention Israel’s continued attacks on the West Bank. Trump also implied that they should do ethnic cleansing in Gaza, sending Palestinians to neighboring countries in the region. Oh, and he signed an executive order that directly targets pro Palestine protesters in a sick attempt to take away their First Amendment rights to free speech! The list keeps growing, and we are barely 2 weeks in…
