Adam Friedland is not exactly known for his hard-hitting interviews, but the comedian had Ritchie Torres on his podcast recently to talk about many issues including campaign finance and Israel and Gaza. Friedland took Torres to task for his blind support for Israel, and spoke from his heart about his experience as a Jewish American watching the crimes against Palestinians unfold.
Torres deployed the same old AIPAC approved talking points, even going so far as to say that Adam was “justifying antisemitism.” Seriously? So being against the untold destruction of so many lives in Gaza is antisemitism? Friedland points out that it is actually the violence that Israel is carrying out in the name of Jewish people that is generating antisemitism. Torres has absolutely no idea how to respond because the money only tells him to care about the feelings of certain American Jews and not all.
