A bunch of vile text messages from young Republicans have been exposed, and MAGA is wasting no time hand-waving them away.
Politico just published a story with 2900 pages of private group chat messages between Gen Z and Millennial Republicans. It a completely unshocking turn of events, the messages were littered with racial slurs, “jokes” about r*pe, and poetic waxing about using gas chambers on their political opponents. And in an even less shocking turn, the MAGA establishment is bending over backwards to defend their behavior.
J.D. Vance in particular has made it his mission to excuse the vitriol from his party. According to him, these are just a bunch of kids and what they said isn’t even that bad. What is actually bad is the supposed calls to violence by Antifa Democrats! First off, these “young” Republicans aren’t actually that young. Some are as old as 35, so not exactly kids. Also, apparently calling for throwing your political opponents in gas chambers is just kids joking, but naming that Charlie Kirk is a white nationalist is hate speech?
