Governor Walz Needs To Defend His People

Trump’s ICE thugs have turned the city of Minneapolis into a warzone. Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz finally released a video statement that was both calming but ultimately useless.

Chaos has descended on Minnesota in the form of ICE and DHS. The murder of Renee Good by Jonathan Ross has left the state angry and afraid. So naturally the secretary of DHS Kristi Noem has decided to ramp up operations, resulting in more state violence against protestors and even another shooting incident. Everyone is looking to Governor Tim Walz to do anything to fight back.

Walz released a video statement calling for solidarity, calm, and peaceful resistance. All of that is well and good, but the reality is the jackbooted fascists don’t care if we are peaceful. State violence will continue to escalate, and the peaceful protestors will continue to be blamed for not protesting “the right way”. We need actual action from our elected officials to stop this, like actually stopping his police forces from helping ICE, or bringing in the National Guard to protect his community from ICE. If there ever was a time to have some backbone, it is now.
