Don’t take our word for it, the new CEO has literally said it out loud in an unearthed video from last March. Taylor Lorenz of User Mag joined Francesca to talk about TikTok banning pro Palestinian content and the continued deterioration of free speech on the internet.
Adam Presser, the new CEO of TikTok, recently spoke at the World Jewish Congress about banning any accounts accused of antisemitism. Of course, the antisemitism he is referring to is any criticism of Zionism or Israel. You can’t even use the word Zionist on TikTok anymore, unless you are saying you are a Zionist. TikTok also unveiled that they will be surveilling users, tracking things like race or immigration status. Surely they have no nefarious plans for that information!
Let’s not forget how we got here. All of this stems back to President Biden and his efforts to ban TikTok. The reason why he and many Democrats were so desperate to get rid of the app was because of how huge it was for spreading the truth about what is happening in Gaza. Liberal Zionist Democrats paved the way for what we are seeing now, which is MAGA aligned billionaires buying TikTok to use it as a weapon for fascism and censorship.
