as posted by the channelThanks to the gutting of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, southern states are rushing to redraw their maps before the 2026 midterms. @JackCocchiarellaShow joined Francesca to talk about the return of Jim Crow style racist gerrymandering in Republican states.
Republican states wasted no time in their efforts to completely remove all black, Democratic representation from their states. The Supreme Court once again handed Republicans exactly what they wanted, and states like Tennessee and Florida have already voted to eliminate Democratically-held districts from their states.
More states are following suit, including South Carolina, Georgia and Louisiana. If the Democrats ever manage to regain power, they need to do something about the Supreme Court. We cannot allow these racist, reactionary right wingers to dominate the court and destroy what little semblance of democracy we have left.
