7:39Now PlayingApparently, all you need to become a Republican nominee for the Senate is to be related to the last senator who just died. Darline Graham, the sister of Lindsey Graham, just secured the nomination to be the Republican candidate for South Carolina. All this despite having a hilariously awful debate performance and clearly not knowing anything about being in government.
Before Lindsey Graham’s passing, I don’t think any of us even knew he had a sister. (Does Chuck Schumer have a sister, too?!) Now, she is probably going to be the next Senator of South Carolina. Does she have any experience holding elected office? No. But that’s okay! She also doesn’t know anything about the job she is running for. Perfect combo!
In a recent debate against her opponent, Representative Ralph Norman, Darline was asked a question about whether she thought the U.S. had national security interests in Taiwan and the South China Sea. Her response was incredible, in the worst way possible. She said, “I’m just going to be honest here, I’m not on national security, I’m not that informed on national security.” Lol. Thank god South Carolina didn’t vote for… Oh wait, she literally just won the runoff.
