1:06:51Now PlayingHost John Iadarola is joined by reporter Michael Shure to break down all of today’s major headlines and news.
NY-16 Rep. Eliot Engel is caught on a hot mic, claiming that if he wasn’t being primaried by progressive Jamaal Bowman, he “wouldn’t care.” The New York Times thought it was a good idea to publish an op-ed written by GOP Sen. Tom Cotton, who last week said there should be “no quarter” for those protesting, and is now arguing that we should “send in the troops.” Trump also wants military troops and tanks in the streets, but the Pentagon is allegedly reluctant to actually cooperate. Trump is NOT SCARED OF PROTESTS which is why he’s literally building a wall in front of the White House. Lynching is still not a federal crime in the U.S. and the bill to designate it as such is being blocked by one man: GOP Sen. Rand Paul. The Lincoln Project attacks Trump again and recent polls show the GOP attacks against the President might be working.

"Having backed President Donald Trump during a call to state governors, the Pentagon is increasingly distancing itself from his threats to mobilize troops to quell the violence that has emerged alongside some of the protests from the past week, according to The Daily Beast.
The president and Defense Secretary Mark Esper spoke with governors on Monday to urge them to request military assistance in the face of protests over the death of George Floyd.
According to a call leaked to The Washington Post, Esper told governors that the National Guard "stands ready" to assist and urged states to "dominate the battlespace" of any protests that had turned violent."
