"Elections are normally an extensive process that takes years of planning, so the idea of having just a little over 7 weeks until the “State Assembly District 79th election” seems unbelievable. When I heard April 6th was the special election set date, instead of panic, I reflected on all of the races (obstacles) and (barriers) fights I've had to overcome just to get to this moment.
I reflected on the deep personal loss I have had to process as well as fighting through a reproductive disease like endometriosis and recently beating cancer, I’ve learned that with faith, hope and perseverance I can overcome, especially when the victory is directly connected to helping people.”
