"Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) has had enough of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-GA) antics as the Ukraine and Israel aid bill heads to the Senate, blasting his colleague in the House as “a total waste of time” who was “dragging our brand down” and risking the Republican Senate majority.
Greene’s tenure in Congress has included virtually zero legislative accomplishments but she’s made energetic efforts to throw a wrench in the works, from the frivolous (bill amendments for space lasers) to those that could once again drag House Republicans into chaos (threatening to bring a motion to vacate Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) over the aid bill).
CNN anchor Erin Burnett, who has covered the war in Ukraine from the frontlines, brought up Tillis’ comments Tuesday evening, reporting that the “desperately needed Ukraine aid” finally looked like it was heading for final passage in the Senate, and “not a minute too soon” after months of delay by “congressional hardliners” like Greene and her threat to oust Johnson."
