Judge Orders Rudy Giuliani Hand Over $6M Penthouse and Other Assets to Election Workers He Defamed
"Months after a Washington DC jury ordered Rudy Giuliani to pay two Georgia election workers $148 million after he defamed them following the 2020 election, a federal judge in New York City then ordered the former lawyer for former President Donald Trump to hand over his most valuable possessions including his Manhattan penthouse to those workers as part of the settlement.
CNN reported on Tuesday that Judge Lewis Liman told Giuliani he had to turn over “his interest in the property to the women in seven days, to a receivership they will control.” This will give Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss control of Giuliani’s apartment, which has been valued at about $6 million. (Giuliani was unable to sell the apartment before the order.) CNN wrote that the women would be able to sell the apartment themselves.
