"Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Monday slammed Tom Homan, President Donald Trump’s border czar, after he resorted to childish name-calling in their ongoing and now escalating war of words.
Ocasio-Cortez has repeatedly drawn Homan’s ire in recent days over advice she has given to immigrants about their rights should they end up being caught up in a raid by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, aka ICE. Homan, a vocal backer and enforcer of Trump’s anti-immigration agenda, has claimed he’s waiting for the deputy attorney general to confirm whether the lawmaker is somehow stopping law enforcement operations with her guidance.
On Monday, Homan’s anger and frustration with Ocasio-Cortez bubbled over during an interview on Newsmax. The Trump acolyte declared that Ocasio-Cortez is “the dumbest congresswoman ever elected to Congress.”
Ocasio-Cortez responded on X, the Elon Musk-owned platform formerly known as Twitter.
“This is why you fight these cowards. The moment you stand up to them, they crumble,” she wrote. “Homan has nothing. The Fourth Amendment is clear and I am well within my duties to educate people of their rights. He can threaten me with jail & call names all he wants. He’s got nothing else.”"
