"Axios’s Barak Ravid reported that the Trump administration offered the Iranian government a nuclear deal that would allow the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism to conduct “low-level uranium enrichment on Iranian soil for a to-be-determined period of time,” and conservatives are not too happy about it.
While Secretary of State Marco Rubio and White House envoy Steve Witkoff have previously submitted that any deal between the longtime enemies would not allow Iran to enrich uranium, the White House did not deny Ravid’s reporting when asked for comment.
“President Trump has made it clear that Iran can never obtain a nuclear bomb. Special Envoy Witkoff has sent a detailed and acceptable proposal to the Iranian regime, and it’s in their best interest to accept it,” said White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. “Out of respect for the ongoing deal, the Administration will not comment on details of the proposal to the media.”"
