"Jeanine Pirro, the United States attorney for the District of Columbia, said it "doesn't really matter" that crime rates had dropped in the nation's capital after President Donald Trump initiated a temporary federal takeover of policing.
Pirro made the remarks during a Tuesday interview with MAGA influencer Benny Johnson.
"The president has made a decision to do this surge in areas where we've seen a lot of crime, because D.C., no matter how you look at it, whether you think crime is up or down, doesn't really matter," Pirro argued. "There's too much crime here. And two years ago, we had one of the highest crime rates in the world in terms of cities.""
