Bad Bunny helps Super Bowl LX peak with 137 million viewers
"Super Bowl LX drew an average audience of more than 124 million viewers, the second most of any in history, and set a new record for peak viewership during Bad Bunny’s halftime show, according to NBC, which cited Nielsen Media Research data.
The network said viewership peaked in the second quarter of the game at more than 137 million viewers as fans tuned in to watch the Puerto Rican pop star perform at halftime.
Sunday’s average viewership figure ranks second all time behind last year’s Super Bowl, which was broadcast on Fox and earned an audience of 127 million and peaked during rapper Kendrick Lamar’s performance that year.
Super Bowl LX was the most-watched event in NBC Universal’s history, the network said, celebrating what it said was its direct-to-consumer streaming service Peacock’s highest rated day since its launch."
