"Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullin, President Donald Trump’s pick to replace Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, said he would put federal law enforcement officers at polling stations for a potential “threat."
While testifying at his confirmation hearing on Wednesday, March 18, Mullin said that he would deploy agents in the event of a "specific threat," and "not for intimidation."
“The only reason they would be there is that there was a specific threat for them to be there, not for intimidation,” Mullin said when pressed by Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich. “I can’t sit there and guarantee hypothetically what threat would be there or not.”"
