"Stephen Colbert asked the Emmys crowd last year to get his writers another gig after “The Late Show” ended.
And now they’re getting one by working on this year’s ceremony with Emmys host Mariska Hargitay.
Hargitay broke the news in an interview Tuesday with Deadline, telling the outlet that they’re in the “beginning stages” and “throwing out a lot of different ideas” for the award show when it takes place Sept. 14."
