as posted by the channelDuring Donald Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, he said if he won he was going to have Elon be the head of a new government department called the department of government efficiency where he would be responsible for figuring out how the government is wasting money. This on the surface sounds like a good idea. But now that Donald Trump is in office, we are finding that Elon Musk is just doing whatever he wants. He is shutting down apartments. He is firing federal employees with no oversight whatsoever. Americans are rightly scared by what he is doing and want answers to what is going on and what we can expect next. Republicans are refusing any oversight over this department while Democrats are asking for some sort of oversight or committees to monitor what he is doing.
