YouTube Description
as posted by the channelFor years, truckers have endured one of the worst freight markets in recent memory. Thousands of trucking companies went bankrupt, owner-operators struggled to survive, and freight rates collapsed.
Then things finally started improving.
Capacity tightened. Rates began rising. Truckers finally started seeing signs of relief.
Now a new problem is emerging.
As fuel costs rise and shipping companies search for cheaper alternatives, more freight is being pushed toward rail transportation. At the same time, truckers are facing the possibility that the recovery they've been waiting years for may already be under pressure.
In this video, I discuss the trucking recovery, rising fuel costs, rail competition, and why many truckers are worried that the good times may not last.
