I Saw The Beauty Of America... Then Tragedy Happened

This weekend I decided to do something I rarely get the chance to do as a truck driver—I parked the truck, got out, and spent some time exploring Seattle.

I visited the Bite of Seattle festival and came away genuinely impressed. The food was incredible, the people were welcoming, and for a little while it reminded me just how beautiful this country can be. Families were laughing, friends were making memories, and strangers were simply enjoying a summer weekend together.

Then, less than 24 hours later, that same place became the scene of another tragic shooting.

This video isn't about me. It's about the contrast between the very best of America and one of the hardest realities we continue to face. Regardless of where we stand politically, it's worth asking why tragedies like this continue to happen and what kind of country we want to build for future generations.

Seattle showed me kindness, community, and everything that's worth protecting. That's the America I want to remember.
