YouTube Description
as posted by the channelJoin Dr. John in an exploration of alternative therapies, such as Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), in an attempt to look at new ways to heal trauma and troubling memories. NLP has had a mixed history with regards to finding an empirical basis in controlled trials and in the 1990s, many psychotherapists lost interest in it due to a lack of scientific evidence. It has been labeled everything from a pseudoscience to a quasi-religion to a miraculous new form of therapy. Dr. John looks at NLP with curiosity to see if there are any effective tools or approaches that may help typical clientele.
Topics covered:

Who can benefit from working with an NLP practitioner?
What are some of the ideas NLP is based upon?
How does NLP “reprogram” disturbing or traumatic memories?
What advice does NLP give to those dealing with things from their past that are holding them back?
What is the most helpful mindset to support people in living their most desired lives?
About Dr. John’s Guest:
Jason Jurado’s healing path started from a very early age. His paternal great grandmother was an Apache medicine woman and throughout early childhood he was told to "look after her." The message he received from this was to help others throughout life. After high school he went into the Marine Corps, served in Desert Storm, and traveled the world. He lived in Japan for extended periods allowing him to explore Zen Buddhism, meditation and mindfulness techniques. It took until 1999 for Jason to rediscover his healing gifts, picking up Neuro Linguistic Programming. In 2010 he was certified as a Practitioner and 2015 he was certified as Master Practitioner.
