On today's What America's Thinking, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds roughly 4 in 10 young Americans spend 30 minutes to an hour reading or listening to news about the coronavirus pandemic. Hill-HarrisX data also reveals this group is more likely to be concerned about the economic impacts of the outbreak. Karlyn Bowman, senior fellow and public opinion analyst at AEI and Dan Cox, research fellow in polling and public opinion at AEI, join Hill TV to discuss what research says about the pandemic and younger Americans. Prabhjot Singh, physician and health systems expert also joins to discuss what the health and socioeconomic aspects this demographic might be facing during the crisis. This survey was conducted online within the United States from April 06-07, 2020 among 1000 registered voters by HarrisX. The sampling margin of error of this poll is plus or minus 3.1 percentage points. The results reflect a nationally representative sample of registered voters. Results were weighted for age within gender, region, race/ethnicity, income, political party, and education where necessary to align them with their actual proportions in the population.
