On today's What America's Thinking, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds a majority of voters support mandatory face masks in public in some capacity. 40% support it being mandatory in both indoor and outdoor public spaces while 28% say indoor only. Pollster and Ipsos director of research, Mallory Newall, explains public opinion on this issue while physician and health systems expert, Dr. Prabhjot Singh discusses how to bring face masks into American culture. This survey was conducted online within the United States from May 18-19, 2020 among 932 registered voters by HarrisX. The sampling margin of error of this poll is plus or minus 3.2 percentage points. The results reflect a nationally representative sample of registered voters. Results were weighted for age within gender, region, race/ethnicity, income, political party, and education where necessary to align them with their actual proportions in the population.
