While Trump pushes for churches to reopen, new Hill-HarrisX poll finds a majority of voters say churches should not be treated as essential businesses. Public opinion expert at the American Enterprise Institute, Dan Cox, explains Trump's relationship with religious voters. This survey was conducted online within the United States from May 27-28, 2020 among 961 registered voters by HarrisX. The sampling margin of error for this poll is plus or minus 3.16 percentage points. The results reflect a nationally representative sample of registered voters. Results were weighted for age within gender, region, race/ethnicity, income, political party, and education where necessary to align them with their actual proportions in the population.
