35:09Now PlayingPresident Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will speak with reporters Wednesday at the White House to highlight the capping of costs for inhalers by several pharmaceutical makers.
Sanders joined other Democrats in the Senate in a letter to drug manufacturers calling for a review of prices for the breathing treatment devices. In one case, a prescription inhaler came with a price tag for Americans of $645 — 13 times higher than consumers the United Kingdom were paying.
Out-of-pocket costs for an inhaler will now top out at $35 for many U.S. patients.
Biden and Sanders, joined by health professionals, will address the media starting at 11:00 a.m. EDT.
