2:43:38Now PlayingTreasury Secretary Janet Yellen will provide testimony Tuesday in the department’s annual report on the international financial system to the House Financial Services Committee.
Inflation remains front of mind for many in Washington, as it does for many voters in the lead up to November’s elections. Yellen has recently expressed optimism that under inflation can drop to the Fed’s goal of two percent by 2025.
But in the meantime, with median home prices at a hefty $419,000 nationally, Treasury recently announced a policy from the Biden administration to allocate $100 million in support of affordable housing.
Yellen is scheduled to testify at 10 a.m. EDT.
