The campaign rally comes a day after Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) — Vice President Harris's running mate — agreed to a debate against Vance on Oct. 1 to be hosted by CBS News. While Vance has not accepted the terms just yet, the Ohio senator did say he would like to debate him “more than once.”
The news comes as the two have traded barbs over their respective military records, and as Trump has been urged to cool down his personal attacks and focus more on policy.
Vance will be joined by GOP Reps. Jim Banks (Ind.), Brian Mast (Fla.), and Michael Waltz (Fla) at the campaign stop.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EDT.
