President Biden is set to deliver the eulogy for Ethel Kennedy, the wife of the late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy (D-N.Y.) during a memorial service Wednesday afternoon in Washington.
Kennedy died Oct. 10 at the age of 96 due to complications from a stroke, her family announced earlier this month. She is survived by nine children, including independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
In his message following her death, Biden called Ethel a "dear friend" and said "through it all, Ethel’s story was the American story."
The remarks from the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. EDT.
