John Ratcliffe, President-elect Trump’s choice to head the CIA, will face questioning from the Senate Intelligence Committee Wednesday morning in his first confirmation hearing.

Ratcliffe, a former Texas representative, briefly served as the director of national intelligence under Trump’s first administration. He was also a fierce defender of Trump during his first impeachment hearings and during his time in the House.

The former federal prosecutor faced pushback during his first run for intelligence chief in 2019 but was later confirmed.

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EST.
