During his remarks, Biden is likely to tout his administration’s key accomplishments — including pushing through the American Rescue Plan, Inflation Reduction Act, the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the CHIPs and Science Act — which have also influenced state and local governments across the U.S.
Before his decision to drop out of the 2024 race, Biden leaned heavily on Democratic mayors to support his reelection bid.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Ind., will also give remarks.
The event is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. EST.
