Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) are set to hold their first joint rally from Las Vegas Thursday afternoon, as the duo protest moves by the Trump administration to issue tax breaks sympathetic to the wealthy and defund key federal programs.
Nearly a decade after his first presidential run, Sanders has stepping back into his favorite role: Billionaire basher. His rallies across the Midwest have drawn large crowds amid his effort to lift up the working class and move Democrats to action.
Despite coming back into the spotlight, the Vermont senator has brushed off suggestions that he could launch a third presidential bid and said in December that the current term will likely be his last in Congress.
The “Fighting Oligarchy” event in Las Vegas is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. EDT.
The pair will also give remarks later Thursday in Tempe, Ariz.
