Progressives earlier this year launched their first organized campaign against the GOP, primarily the president’s tax agenda. Their remarks, led by Chair Greg Casar (D-Texas) and Deputy Chair Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) come as CPC board member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) — an outspoken Trump critic — has been floated as a potential contender to lead the Democratic ticket in 2028.
