Rodney Scott, President Trump’s pick to lead U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), will testify before the Senate Finance Committee on Wednesday morning.

Scott resigned from CBP in 2021 after serving since the 1990s. He quickly rose through the ranks serving as the head of the agency in Trump’s first term and briefly under the Biden administration. During his tenure, he oversaw over 21,000 personnel and backed some of the president’s border policies — like expanding the wall with neighboring Mexico.

The confirmation hearing comes after the Trump administration marked 100 days in office — including major moves on immigration.

The confirmation hearing is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EDT.
