3:01:17Now PlayingWashington is ramping up for a massive military parade on Saturday afternoon in celebration of the U.S. Army's 250th anniversary. The June 14 date also coincides with President Trump’s 79th birthday.
The parade will roll down Constitution Avenue NW, as thousands of troops march in formation — with different groups wearing uniforms representing every U.S. conflict dating back to the American Revolution. The event will also include tanks, helicopters and armed fighting vehicles.
Paratroopers from the Army’s Golden Knights and a fireworks display will follow the procession.
Amid unrest over Trump's sweeping immigration agenda, the nation is expected to see significant demonstrations organized by a group dubbed the "No Kings" movement. The president has warned that any protesters who disrupt the event in Washington will be met with "very big force."
The parade is expected to begin Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
