Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), a prominent House progressive, said at the Hill Nation Summit Wednesday that he hadn’t made a decision on whether to run for president in 2028.

Khanna visited South Carolina, a crucial stop on the road to the Democratic nomination, this week.

“Whether I run or whether I get behind someone and have a network that can then support them, I haven’t decided,” Khanna said. “But I do know this: the Democratic Party has not had a compelling economic vision for years. I have a compelling economic vision.”

Khanna has made headlines recently for his attempts to force a House vote on releasing government files related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
