House Democratic leaders will give remarks Wednesday morning as lawmakers once again face a looming government shutdown deadline.

Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Tuesday warned Republicans against attempts to pass a spending bill without negotiating with Democrats, saying they are prepared to hold the line again if necessary. In March, House Democrats voted almost unanimously against a GOP-led government funding extension.

Wednesday’s press conference also comes as lawmakers weigh a stock trading ban and Republicans navigate chaos around files related to the late disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The press conference is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. EDT.
