YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe Hill's Drew Petrimoulx chats with National Politics Reporter Julia Manchester about the pressure mounting on Virginia Democratic attorney general nominee Jay Jones to drop out of his race following leaked text messages in which he openly talks about violence directed toward former Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert (R).
A chorus of Republicans in and out of Virginia are calling on Jones to drop out, including President Trump and Vice President Vance. The Republican gubernatorial nominee, Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, quickly jumped on the news, rolling out an ad tying her opponent, former Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.), to Jones. Jones’s opponent, incumbent Attorney General Jason Miyares (R), released his own ad Monday, asking voters if they could trust Jones to protect their children.
