The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is holding a meeting Tuesday morning to discuss its probe of the January 2025 mid-air crash between an Army Black Hawk helicopter and American Airlines passenger plane.

The crash killed 67 people, marking one of the deadliest aviation incidents in the U.S. since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Investigators have found that the helicopter was flying higher than it should have been due to inaccurate altitude readings. Following the deadly crash, the family of at least one victim sued the Trump administration and American Airlines over the incident.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. EST.
