President Trump sent Homan to Minnesota earlier this week to oversee the administration's ramped up immigration crackdown in the city after Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino left the area on Tuesday.
The border czar has also met with Gov. Tim Walz (D) and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (D), which he called "productive."
Homan's comments come as DHS and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem face mounting criticism over its tactics in the North Star State and beyond — with some calling for the agency chief to resign or face impeachment. Lawmakers have also battled over funding for the agency as a partial government shutdown looms.
The press conference is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. EST.
