YouTube Description
as posted by the channelBorder czar Tom Homan will speak with reporters Thursday morning from Minneapolis on the Trump administration's immigration operation in the city — which is still reeling from two fatal shootings by federal agents last month.
President Trump sent Homan to oversee "Operation Metro Surge" after protests spread across the state following the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. In wake of scrutiny over Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) use of force, the border czar said the administration would pull back some federal authorities from the city.
The president has signaled that his administration could take a "softer" approach to immigration enforcement and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) said earlier this week that he expects the crackdown in the North Star State to end soon.
The press conference is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. EST.
