Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth doubled down on the notion during a press briefing Tuesday, saying the day’s strikes would be the most intense yet inside Iran.
Trump is also calling on lawmakers to take up the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act and threatened over the weekend to hold his signature on legislation until it passes. Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) on Tuesday rejected the president’s push to get rid of the filibuster to move the bill forward.
