41:08Now PlayingPresident Trump and first lady Melania Trump will host a Women's History Month event on Thursday afternoon at the White House.
The event is Trump's only public appearance on Thursday, 12 days into the Iran war.
The White House has not released a guest list or itinerary for the event.
Trump released a statement on March 3 marking Women's History Month, celebrating historical figures including Betsy Ross, credited with sewing the first American flag; Katharine Drexel, an American Catholic saint; and Amelia Earhart, the trailblazing pilot.
"Whether they serve our Nation as service members, government leaders, entrepreneurs, or mothers, every devoted woman guides our Nation’s strength, prosperity, and way of life," the statement said. "For this reason, my Administration will always promote policies that embolden women, uplift our children, and fortify the American family."
The event is set to begin at 4 p.m. EST.
