2:22:58Now PlayingDirector of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard on Wednesday morning will face the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence for a hearing on worldwide threats, a day after her top counterterrorism aide resigned over the Iran conflict.
Gabbard will likely be questioned over the ongoing U.S. military operation and her own intelligence leading up to President Trump's decision to strike Iran alongside Israel late last month. She sought to justify the action on Tuesday, saying the Trump administration has concluded that the Iranian regime posted an "imminent threat."
Joe Kent, who previously served as her chief of staff, stepped down Tuesday as the director of the National Counterterrorism Center while publicly condemning the U.S. involvement in the Middle East war.
FBI Director Kash Patel and CIA Director John Ratcliffe, among others, are also expected to testify at the hearing.
