Lee earlier this week suggested that his GOP colleagues that did not support forcing a talking filibuster to advance the bill, President Trump's highest legislative priority at the moment, should be replaced. The rhetoric sparked some backlash from Republicans in the chamber, which is now in the midst of a days-long debate on the bill.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) has already rejected calls for a talking filibuster, citing a lack of votes.
Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) also railed against the legislation, calling it "despicable."
