Late last year, Trump designated the Arab nation a major non-NATO ally as part of a strategic defense agreement. He has also maintained close ties with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman since his return to the Oval Office and, during a White House meeting last November, the president greenlit the sale of F-35 jets to Saudi Arabia.
The forum comes after the Supreme Court struck down the bulk of the president's emergency tariffs, which the administration argued would have helped boost the U.S. economy and domestic manufacturing. Trump's "America First" agenda has also leaned heavily on foreign investments.
