YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe Artemis II crew will give remarks from the Orion spacecraft on Thursday evening, just days after the four astronauts traveled further into space than anyone before them.
The crew — Cmdr. Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, mission specialist Christina Koch and Canadian Space Agency mission specialist Jeremy Hansen — embarked on the 10-day lunar flyby mission on April 1. The group, now on the way back to Earth, is expected to splashdown in San Diego on Friday.
President Trump called the crew earlier this week to congratulate them on the mission. The conversation came after the astronauts viewed and recorded observations from the far side of the moon, a previously unseen surface.
"Everybody’s talking about this, and I look forward to having you in the Oval Office at the White House, and we will celebrate your incredible achievements and triumphs," the president said.
Their comments are scheduled to begin at 6:10 p.m. EDT.
