2:51Now PlayingThe House Ethics Committee will hold a public hearing Tuesday morning centered on Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick's (D-Fla.) fraud violations and potential sanctions.
Earlier this year, the committee found "substantial reason to believe" Cherfilus-McCormick violated several laws, regulations and standards of conduct — and later announced it had proven 25 of 27 claims. The complaint centered on allegations that she used millions in improperly paid federal disaster funds to finance her campaign.
The panel is expected to make its disciplinary recommendations as many have called for the Florida Democrat to resign or face expulsion.
The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EDT.
