9:34Now PlayingAt a meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee Tuesday, Sens. Thom Tillis (R-NC) and John Cornyn (R-TX) stated that they would now support President Trump's nominee for attorney general, Todd Blanche, who is currently filling that role in an acting capacity.
Both Republican senators said that they were satisfied that the "anti-weaponization fund" to compensate alleged victims of prosecutorial overreach would not go forward in a Justice Department headed by Blanche.
But Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) expressed strong continued opposition to Blanche, noting what he described as a "cover-up" and a "screw-up" related to the Epstein files.
